Time Greyhound Nutrition Dundalk International 2025 - Runner-by runner guide
The €20,000 to the winner Time Greyhound Nutrition Dundalk International is on Saturday night, we look at the six runners.

Time Greyhound Nutrition Dundalk International
Saturday night will see an excellent field lining up for a crack at an exceptional €20,000 prize for a one-off contest. It is a race where it is hard to rule anything out with the current betting from Boylesports looking like this
10/11 Cheap Sandwiches 2/1 Callaway Knegare 3/1 Ballinabola Joe 8/1 Daleroad Duke 12/1 Wicky Ned 16/1 Lemon Joey
The UK raider has the draw on the rails and the early pace to take advantage of that. For whatever reason, his trapping boots vanish when he heads to Towcester but he is generally very fast into stride. He needs to be if he is to hold off a quick starter in Daleroad Duke to the turn but he showed on Sunday that he won't be stopping late on.
Trainer Jimmy Fenwick said "Brookside Richie ran well for us the last time we were there in 2023, and he led for a long way until picked up by Raha Mofo. He was only beaten a length and a half or so after leading but Wicky Ned is much much stronger so if we can go close with Brookside Richie, then there’s no reason why we can’t have a right good go with Wicky Ned"
Arrived on the scene last summer with a stunning run through the Time Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile Derby at Shelbourne. Produced stronger form still to finish third in the final of the Boylesports Irish Derby when a length behind Cheap Sandwiches.
A draw between two early-paced types might not be ideal for him but his talent lies in his middle. A 28.01 trial over 525y here at the end of June is 13 spots inside the current track record, he is a serious talent.
The oldest in the lineup but he clocked new figures for Tralee's 525y distance in May. Tralee is running quick this year, with Magical Luka and Seven Beach also setting track records over 500y and 550y respectively. The majority of his winning form has come when drawn closer to the fence but his May track record came from trap four. Does need to be on his toes here in a speedy lineup.
Earlier this week his trainer Patrick Guilfoyle said, "Duke is in tremendous form as shown by his recent track record breaking run of 27.85 at Tralee. He has done two brilliant trials around Dundalk in recent weeks and I couldn't be happier with him."
Looks set to go off as the outsider here but that is down purely to the quality of greyhounds that he is up against. Was in front of English Derby finalist Sole Mio in both the opening two round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial but was behind him when knocked out in the semis. Went on to land the Produce Stakes at Clonmel, that form franked when the runner-up went unbeaten through the Arena Racing Company Puppy Trophy at Sunderland.
Murt Leahy, who won this in 2023 with Raha Mofo, said "Lemon Joey is in good order now, he had a bit of a kennel cough when he came back from his last run at Shelbourne a few weeks ago but he's got over that now and is in good form and is raring to go."
Unlucky to exit the English Derby in the third round, giving defending champion De Lahdedah all he could handle to the third turn. The pair came together and it was Joe who came out of that worse. He has beaten that rival in round two, though perhaps it was his lightning 3.91 split in the opening round that is the run that will live longest in the memory. Is the least exposed of these but clearly has the class.
"Joe is in great shape at home, he's bouncing and he's working very well. He ran brilliantly to win the Championship 550 at Shelbourne as it took him a couple of runs to settle back into the Irish boxes as we expected. We are happy with the draw and with how he handled the track in his prep trial so everything crossed now for Saturday" said Emma Buckley.
A finalist in both an Irish and English Derby, he is one of the most consistent types in training. Seems to be capable of running his race from almost any starting position but stripes is ideal, not finishing out of the first two in his last 10 races from this starting position. Has plenty of pace inside him to clear but his all-around speed makes him the one they have to beat.
Trainer Graham Holland said "Sambo has been in great form at home. I’m really pleased with the way he trialled and handled the track Saturday. It’s a great International and he’ll need to break very well but if he does they’ll have to catch him!"
Conclusion
A strong renewal of the Time Greyhound Nutrition International and always good to have some UK representation. It might be tough for Wicky Ned can get the job done without a prior look but he is an exceptional talent who has run well on his first look at other tracks.
Cheap Sandwiches looks like going off favourite with his pace liable to get himself to the front where it matters. Ballinabola Joe is going to keep him honest and Callaway Knegare - who was only a length behind Cheap Sandwiches in the Irish Derby final last November - would be a big threat if he is able to wriggle free on the rails.
