There are some fascinating graded races at Towcester this evening where we have picked up three tips for the card.
Tuesday's Tips
*** Falls Of Dochart - 8.07 Towcester
** Fabulous Shona - 8.41 Towcester
* Essjay Buccaneer - 9.16 Towcester
One of the more interesting ones on the card tonight is Falls Of Dochart for Nick Deas. He was an A2 winner at Oxford, his two runs at this track coming in a sprint which is too short for him given he ran on over 450m at Oxford and a maiden open where things didn't go right for him. He makes his 500m graded debut in an A6, and this kind of level is going to be far more pleasing to him as long as he comes away a little better.
The drop back down into an A5 could be just the ticket for Fabulous Shona to get her head back in front again. She dipped under 30 seconds on her most recent run in this grade at the end of November when she won by a couple of lengths. Leading up the pair inside her looks entirely plausible tonight and that should help her on her way.
The closing D2 contest looks well set up for Essjay Buccaneer to pounce late up the rails. He picked up a win in this grade recently which is a one up on the majority of his rivals. He is not the quickest into stride for a sprinter but he does some strong work from halfway and if the gaps open up, he can take his opportunity to pounce late.
