Brown treble at Suffolk Downs

Another Tuesday treble for Michelle Brown at Suffolk Downs saw Bucking Bucks back to winning ways after a pair of runs behind his kennelmate Tomahawk. The pair went to the bend together but it was the wide runner who emerged on top into the back straight and there was no way back for his opponents.

Golden Acre appreciated the return to the striped jacket to get her head back in front. She has been a model of consistency over the last few months and picked up another win to add to her record. She has won four of her last eight starts now.

The third winner for Brown came from Savana Robbie. He made all of the running over 388m from his draw on the rails to pick up a. third win since the track reopened.

It was a tough night for favourite punters, six of the races containing an odds on favourite with only one of them obliging. That was Moaning Hearns who was the second half of a quick double in back-to-back races for Darren Whitton who had opening his night with a win from Moaning Mojito who had caused a 10/1 surprise in a sprint contest.

That was not the biggest priced winner of the night, that honour belonged to Robert Emery's Charity. She was the third of the five runners to get to the front in a six-bend contest, timing her challenge to get up right on the line.

Craig Morris landed the eight-bend open on the night with Borna Parachute. It was his first look at the track but he turned handy enough to the experienced Golden Palace and struck late on to land the prize.

A winner for Frank Macklin opened up the night, Tell On Aimee gaining revenge on Droopys Mikado for last week's defeat. They were split by just a short head in a race where the pair came together on the run-in.

The other open on the card went to Honey Bobby for Laura Pruhs. The kennel had the favourite in the race but it was the second string at the odds who showed the best pace to the bend, getting enough of a margin to hold off Mia Jezabelle.

Star Pelaw double for Cheryl Ingham

There were three open races at Star Pelaw last night where Cheryl Ingham picked up a double, the first two runners since taking out a trainers license.

The first of those was Hi Dom in a sprint contest, getting off the mark at the first time of asking in the UK. He was a winner at Dundalk when trained in Ireland, making the second round of the Irish Sprint Cup, behind Broadstrand Syd in both of his runs in the competition.

Ingham's second winner came from Swift Yawn who got up in the final strides. It has taken her a long time to get off the mark over here having left Ireland off the back of a hat-trick of wins at Mullingar. Hopefully, this can see her kick on from here.

The other open on the card came from Ted Soppitt's Sunnyside Ted. The puppy continued the exceptional start to his career with a very smart 14.47 run. It was win number five from his 12 starts so far and his third success over Star Peal's 245m distance.
