Premier Greyhound Racing Regency
Joe Conneely
Alright Gordy (28) – Wide seed, we know what he’s like, keep qualifying type.
Rules For Some (66) – If she wants to get her head down, more than capable. Only five runners in her first-round heat, so the 66s looks each-way value.
Matt Newman
Lilys Bullet (100) – I don’t think we’ve seen the best of her yet. Litter sister to Bombay Nutty. Should qualify from the first round and then it’s fair game.
- Burrows Eclipse (66) – Not many will be able to lead him to the fourth bend. He should keep getting his draw and he’s an interesting one.
Michael Smyth
Proper Dangress (25) – Impressed at Central Park recently, value at 25s.
Rules For Some (66) – Small each-way play at the prices. More than capable if she puts it all in.
Graham Banks
Alright Gordy (28) – Nothing flashy early on but down the back straight for the second time he will be making his move. 28s each-way looks a solid option.
Borne Parachute (25) – Very lightly raced over this sort of distance. Impressed around Central Park and a nice run at Hove last time out. Another each-way play for me.
Chris Oliver
Romeo Empire (11/2) – Is my main selection. Derby quarter-finalist. Four from four since stepping up to six bends and three from three at Hove.
Garfiney Blaze (12) – Still got the ability, lightly raced this year and has a fantastic record at Hove. Cesarewitch winner this calendar year and looks a big player in the competition.
Coral Sussex Cup – Ante-Post Greyhound Racing Odds
Joe Conneely
Uncle Freddie (40) – Well-drawn in the heats and could go well in the competition outright.
Kilmore Dancer (18) – Made the 3 Steps To Victory final at Sheffield. He has a bit of a mind of his own but is pacey and is a nice competition type.
Matt Newman
Newinn Benni (20) – The defending champion appeals at the prices on offer. Touch unfortunate in the recent Star Sports/TRC English Derby. Super consistent and loves the track. Solid chance of going back-to-back.
No Better Feelin (40) – Tricky first heat but 40s for a Derby semi-finalist he looks value. He’s had three course and distance trials in recent weeks, so he comes into this fresh.
Michael Smyth
Ballymac Kobe (18) – Plenty of early pace and looks an ideal Hove 515 type.
Gary The Arb (12) – Coming back into form. Three on the bounce at Romford and has a chance of going deep if he gets it right at the boxes in the first-round heats.
Graham Banks
Romeo Tomcat (7) – Looks the ideal Hove type, winning three from three in recent weeks. Should have plenty of room in the first-round heats and can go deep in the competition.
Chelms Bear (16) – Didn’t go to plan during the Derby. Running well for Craig Morris, finishing third in the 3 Steps To Victory final at Sheffield. Granted a clear run he will be staying on well and at 16s, I’ll take a chance each-way.
Chris Oliver
Slick Sentinel (6) – He’s match fit and a proper competition type, as he has proven over the last 12 months. The kennel is in flying form and he looks like a solid bet at 6s.
Ballymac Kobe (18) – The kennel are coming into form nicely and he looks like a major player here. The heat could work out well for him out in T6.
