Chris Oliver’s Friday tips – 26 September
The open-race action takes place at Romford, Sheffield and Sunderland on Friday evening and Chris Oliver has three bets at the latter venue.

Greyhound betting tips: Friday September 26
*** Cunnigar King (T2, 9.48 Sunderland)
**Optic Pharaoh (T2, 9.32 Sunderland)
*Emers Brean (T6, 7.25 Sunderland)
There are opens at Romford this evening but our focus is on Sunderland, where a couple of finals feature.
Having gone fastest in the heats over 261m last week, Cunnigar King (T2) holds no fears over the longer 450m trip in the Arena Racing Company Dual Distance final at 9.48. Prior to that impressive sprint victory, Mark Bulmer’s dog went unbeaten through a two-round event over this 450m course and should relish a step back up to four bends. He can pace up into an early lead in the blue jacket once again and prove tough to peg back.
Optic Pharaoh (T2) rates the one to beat in the Arena Racing Company Standard final at 9.32, having made a winning Sunderland debut when hacking up in the heats. Tom Heilbron’s dog raced into an early lead when making all by a wide margin in the fastest heat and he is entitled to improve for that first competitive outing at the Wearside track. Well drawn in trap two, he is fancied to steal a march again.
Emers Brean (T6) found trouble in an A1 here last week but she looks worth another chance in the Arena Racing Company 450 at 7.25. Prior to that, she won a couple of opens here before completing a hat-trick with an A1 victory and this isn’t the toughest of open races. She has a nice make-up as the sole wide seed and a bold bid is expected.
