Michael Smyth's Thursday tips - 25th September
Michael Smyth has looked through the action at Hove this evening and brings you his three best bets on the card.

Greyhound betting tips: Thursday September 25
***Deadly Ruben (T5, 8.07 Hove)
**Raebella Bullet (T1, 8.24 Hove)
*Minstrels Six (T1, 8.41 Hove)
There are opens at Hove this evening and Deadly Ruben (T5) rates as the best bet when lines up in the Coral 500 Maiden Trophy final at 8.07. Last week in the heats, the middle seed impressed when making all in 29.53 following a 3.59 sectional. This evening, with a similar smart exit from the boxes, the June 2023 son of Ballyhimikin Jet can lead round and kick for home down the back straight. Once on the bunny, it’ll take a good one to back run him. Noellie rates as the danger from T3. The Paul Young-trained Romford raider is lightly raced and open to improvement.
The next best of the day is Raebella Bullet (T1) in the Coral 500 Bitches Trophy final over the 500-metre trip at 8.24. Well-drawn on the rails, the Belinda Green-trained July 2023 daughter of Good News looks likely to lead round and, once on the bunny, she will prove hard to peg back. She has only run seven times, as she’s had a season and a period off the track with injury in her short career to date, but she will now be hitting peak fitness and looks a solid bet this evening.
The third and final selection this evening is Minstrels Six (T1) in the Coral Thursday Night 695 Stayers open race at 8.41. The Jason Heath-trained railer impressed over course and distance last week, making all in 41.87, beating Ivy Hill Cherry, who lines up from T2 this evening. The key to this race is the break. If Minstrels Six traps well and holds the rails into the first corner, it's race on. Bacardi Bullet is worth noting in the market from T5. She’s lightly raced and looks an interesting runner on her Hove 695 debut.
