There are no open races to enjoy on Monday night, so we are off to Yarmouth where there are some interesting graded contests to look over for our three selections.
Monday's Tips
*** Crypto Wallet - 8.31 Yarmouth
** Swift Depot - 7.06 Yarmouth
* Cassandras Girl - 9.04 Yarmouth
It was a solid return to action last week from Crypto Wallet after missing seven and a half weeks. His return trial was disappointing but it gained him a double downgrade, runner-up at this level in that return. He should have sharpened up a little further for that effort where he beat a pair who re-oppose now. His last six wins have all come in the grade higher than this and he can return there next time out.
The return to graded company could be enough to see Swift Depot get his head back in front again for the first time since the middle of November. When he hits form, he is the type to run up a sequence and having briefly set the track record here back in September, we all know exactly what level of ability he has in the tank when he is on his game.
462m around Yarmouth just stretches Cassandras Girl to her limit but she is more than capable of winning in A2 grade. She has been a beaten favourite at this level on her last three starts but she has been far from disgraced, just running into a stronger stayer. Leading up in this field should be fine and any trouble in behind is going to be a big help to her chance.
