Saturday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 1 August 2026
It's a dual Category One final night this evening at Hove as the Coral Regency and Coral Sussex Cup both come to their conclusion. We have three tips for the card.
Saturday's Tips
*** Shadow Storm - 8.06 Hove
** Moving Force - 9.26 Hove
* Croydon Rory - 8.46 Hove
Shadow Storm didn't trap as well as he can in the heats of a sprint competition last week, giving first run to Slaneyside Swade. The selection looked like he was coming to win the race at the second bend when he was chopped off by the winner. One of his usual breaks this evening can put him in control of the inside and in pole position to score.
The Coral Sussex Cup final looks hugely competitive with a case to be made for all of the runners. Plenty is going to be dependant on the break and getting around the first bend clean here as there is not a lot to cover them. Moving Force stays further than this and a messy race would play to his strengths, and he can go one better than in the final of the Coral Olympic back in December.
It is going to be very difficult to beat Droopys Flare in the final of the Coral Regency but she is going to have to have a bit of luck around the opening couple of turns. If she can find a run, there is only going to be one winner but on the draw, Croydon Rory makes plenty of appeal as an alternative. He is completely unexposed as a stayer and took full advantage of a similar setup with five railers inside of him in the semis.
