Monday's Tips
*** Ballymac Gian - 8.19 Nottingham
** Sawpit Signature - 9.11 Nottingham
* Salacres Seren - 8.01 Nottingham
Although Ballymac Gian was beaten last week, he is worth giving another chance to. He was hugely impressive a fortnight ago in his sprint win and perhaps it was the different draw out in six that did not suit him seven days ago. He is back in the same black jacket as he was when winning and a repeat of that sort of time would be too good for these.
Sawpit Signature lacks a look at this venue but makes plenty of appeal as one who will appreciate the test that 500m around here will provide him. A Welsh Derby finalist, he ran BGBF Champion Stakes finalist Anglesey Milo to a length at Monmore last time out, keeping on well. His best time at Valley is top 10 this year and this new distance promises to suit him better.
One who is entitled to come on for her look around last week is Salcares Seren. She took on stronger sprint company last week and after a slow break and a slightly hesitant opening corner, she stuck to her task well to chase them home in fourth. It was only her fourth run back from season, taking a step in the right direction with each of the other three at Towcester and with further progression on the cards, expect her to put up a much bolder showing.
