Sunday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 26 April 2026
Sunday sees the final of the Bet St George Gymcrack at Sheffield as well as a string of open race contests at Towcester with the start of the Derby just five days away.

Sunday's Tips
*** Longacres Daddy - 5.06 Towcester
** Annadown Shadow - 4.59 Sheffield
* Harness Bell - 3.51 Towcester
One of the best drawn dogs at Towcester this afternoon is Longacres Daddy. A wide runner with a vacant trap in five and four railers, he is drawn to enjoy the freedom of Northamptonshire. A semi-finalist in the Arena Racing Company Laurels at Dunstall Park recently, he trialled well here when less than three lengths behind This Approach. That dog was the recent £19,250 top lot at the Towcester Derby sales, and made a winning start to his UK career last week.
It is the final of the Bet St George Gymcrack this afternoon at Sheffield with some very smart pups heading to the traps. Copney Queen has gone quickest in both the opening round and semis and deserves to be favourite but she can afford no slip ups at the start. Annadown Shadow was the best backed winner of the first round, clearly well regarded by connections and he can lead up the inside and can turn front rank to keep his unbeaten record intact.
The drive down from Jimmy Fenwick's range to Towcester is a considerable one. The team send down one trialer (Zenith Pasha for a look ahead of the Derby) and Harness Bell in the marathon contest. The fact they are willing to wait around is an interesting one and she looks the type to appreciate further. This is a huge step up in trip on a track she has never seen, so she comes with risks, but the way she went to the pickup over 640m recently suggests she wants 800m+.
