Sunday's Tips

*** Tooreen Rose - 3.13 Towcester

** Newinn Tonic - 2.54 Towcester

* Pavilion Team - 4.47 Towcester

Kevin Hutton steps Tooreen Rose up to a 'proper' six bends this afternoon at Towcester and that is expected to bring out the best in this powerful runner. She showed the pick of her form in Ireland when given a test of stamina and was noted doing some good late work over the 630m trip at Monmore. 712 around here is going to suit her much better.

This new, shorter four-bend trip of 460m might be perfect for the likes of Newinn Tonic. She has plenty of winning form over the 500m distance here but that far does just stretch her stamina when something strong turns behind her. There is a nice type for Maxine Locke on the inside in Headford Wayne who will provide plenty of pace opposition early but the pick can see him off.

The striped jacket is wider than ideal for Pavilion Team but he has found a the best of his form again in the early part of the year at this track. He beat his main danger in this race (Born Racer) at Hove two starts back in a clean run race, so if he comes away like he can, he is going to take all the stopping here.
