There is open race action this afternoon at both Sheffield and Towcester, with two selections from the first of those and one from the second named.

Romeo Force came back to winning ways over this track and trip last time out, though from a more difficult draw on that occasion in four than he will face this afternoon where he sports the red jacket. He is a remarkable type as he has wins to his credit from all six traps, but it is the one box that has seen him successful on the most occasions, a record he can add to here.
It is interesting that Sleek Lulu is pitched straight into a maiden open on her first start for Rose Draper rather than running in a graded race. She has not set the world alight yet on her trials, but a 28.69 at Cork on her final run before coming across the Irish Sea suggests that she is capable of a good bit quicker than her current best around here of 29.54.
On paper, Makeit DJ has plenty to find in the maiden at Towcester, but he is one of the best drawn dogs on the day. The five inside of him is a bang railer who should move straight to the left while the one dog caused absolutely carnage from that starting slot in the opening round of the Derby. If the selection can use his sprinting pace to lead up, he might find the way is clear behind him after trouble.
