Burrows Aries got his head in front at the second time of asking for Jason Heath, and looks the type who should be able to kick on as he gains experience. There is some smart form in Ireland on his card (a comment that also applies to his main danger Zenith Aslan) notably when three and a half lengths behind Irish Derby finalist Wi Can James at Shelbourne in July. He is a very exciting recruit for the kennel

There has been some smart form over four bends of late from Clairekeith Mary, stepping up to six bends for the first time this evening. Her main danger is in trap two, the pair having relatively similar form over four bends. That rival has had a run over this trip already back in February when looking a non stayer at the time. The pick is the better trapper of the pair, and with the inside draw and a short run to the corner, that could make the difference.

Just a short head separated Sussex Villan and Minstrels Five in their maiden stayers heat last week, the selection coming from miles back to almost run down his rival who is forecast to go off favourite. Red might not be ideal for Sussex Villan, and with a fair starter outside of her in the blue jacket, she may not make it to the front as early this week which can play into the strong-running paws of the selection.
