Vhagar is going to be a very short price in the stayers contest this evening but she is a real lover of this track, winning seven of her nine prior starts here. The two times that she was turned over were by Droopys Flare in the semis of the Golden Jacket and by Mongys Wild in the final of that competition. Although she has smart rivals to take on, there is nothing of that class in here, and she can justify her position as the red-hot favourite. 

Maxine Locke's Annadown pups are exceptionally smart types with Warrior the holder of the fastest time of the year over Hove's 500m trip. He chased home his litter brother Chip in a puppy competition at Towcester, producing a very smart 28.77 in the final but that wasn't enough. He shaped well on his first look here in a trial and should be more than capable of taking a step forward on that time with the experience under his belt. 

The sprint looks set for Lesleys Buddy to continue to make his claim as one of the top handful of sprinters in action. He was behind Bockos Buster in the sprint final on Derby final night but there is no disgrace in being beaten by that multiple Cat One finalist. With the Silver Salver currently in action, some smart sprinters are unable to take part for their trainers and that can help him in a softer field than he took on last time out.
