*** Glasheen Eagle - 8.13 Monmore

** Countess Penny - 7.39 Monmore

* Goldstar Michael - 6.31 Monmore

It was a shame that things went wrong for Glasheen Eagle on his English debut. He had won a few times in Ireland and then in his final grading in trial had beaten Oaks runner-up Kilwest Diva in a sprint trial. It was no surprise then that he was sent off the 7/4 favourite when pitched into an open on his first start but he missed the break and then founds trouble. He drops into graded company tonight and is well worth giving another chance to, to justify the impression he made in that trial.

Another who can do better this evening now that she is returned to graded company in Countess Penny. She has lost nothing in defeat  in open races won by Headford Cian and Wise Tournament in her last two starts. Admittedly, it has been a while since she last got her head in front, but this looks a good opportunity for her to do so.

The red jacket tends to be where Goldstar Michael produces his best sectionals from, and hopefully that will prove to be the case once more this evening. He has only raced at this A3 level once in his career at Monmore, winning back in early May. That came from the red jacket when he produced his best race time, so this should be the way to get the best from him again.
