It's graded action for our Tuesday evening tips as we head to Towcester to find the three best selections on their card.
Tuesday's Tips
*** Valkyrie Warrior - 9.16 Towcester
** Girl From Golden - 7.49 Towcester
* Salacres Nando - 8.24 Towcester
It is a bit of a surprise to see Valkyrie Warrior back in an A8 after a single run in an A7 given that she went back-to-back in this grade in the second half of August, beating a couple in here who are re-opposing. That took her record at this level to 3/4, and with a runner in two who will give her the necessary room to operate early on, she should be well up to making that 4/5.
Girl From Golden does not look the easiest type to win with but she returns to A6 grade having made the second round of the Produce Stakes. In fact, she very nearly stole her first round heat, just run down by Keefill Walker who then went and beat current favourite for the final Harton Whirlwind in the second round. That probably flattered her but she should have an A6 in her on that form.
500m is a little too far for Salacres Nando but you know what you are going to get from her over this trip, away and gone and then hope that there is something behind that just holds up the closers. She was a very impressive winner of a D1 contest last time out and if she can produce a similar time to her 29.25 or 29.30 from the front over 500m in August, she might just get far enough clear to hold on.
