There is graded action this evening at Towcester for our three selections for Tuesday night.

*** Swift Rally - 6.26 Towcester
** Holmleigh Julie - 8.24 Towcester
* Hitthelids Matteo - 6.08 Towcester
On paper, it looks like a fairly generous drop for Swift Rally back into a B4 this evening after a third and a second in the grade above, beaten three lengths or so on each occasion. He has the trapping and early pace to lead up this field as he did the last time that he was down as low as this level. If he times his break right, he ought to be hard to hold.
There was steady improvement in the spring from Homeleigh Julie over two bends at this track. She was just run down late on in a higher grade on her only 460m start to this point, another who looks to have got a fairly generous downgrade on paper. She should be able to lead up the inside runners, plus she went to Star Pelaw last time out, and would not be the first to come back from there sharper.
This is the lowest on the graded ladder than Hitthelids Matteo has been in sprints at Towcester, missing the break on his return to the distance last week having been running over 460m. His prior run over 270m came on May 1 when he was the winner of a D3 contest, running in a D4 this evening, and it could see him in a very different light to his most recent outing.
