*** Crossfield Finn - 8.54 Romford

** Gloriana - 8.19 Romford

* Drovers Violet - 7.27 Romford 

There are a couple on the card tonight at Romford that have been handed decent opportunities by the grader, none more so than Crossfield Finn. Seven of his eight starts since absolutely demolishing a race in this grade in June have come in open company, provided with by far his easiest test since that last run at this level. He will have to track clever early on with some pace around him but his class can shine through.

Gloriana is another who has been given a real opportunity by the assessor. She has not been seen since a fall in July but that was when sent off the odds-on favourite in an A6, the start after finishing a solid second in an A5. Despite a recent trial where she has gone quicker than that A5 effort, she slots back in at A7 level and can capitalise on the downgrade.

There are no secrets in the locker of veteran Drovers Violet but she is a consistent type who gives her best from the front. 400m around here is as far as she wants to go, but she can sneak far enough clear here to hold off the latecomers to the party and maintain the gallop to the line.
