Tuesday's Tips

*** Salacres Seren - 6.42 Towcester

** Daleroad Story - 8.41 Towcester

* Raparee Yulia - 7.16 Towcester

One of the best drawn dogs of the night at Towcester is Salacres Seren in the top grade sprint contest. She was a hair unlucky the last twice not to win at least one of them and add to an excellent sequence of success in April and May. The red jacket has only been sported twice, both against far stronger rivals than these and in trap two, she has one who will move right outside of her. That will give her all the room in the world to operate and go one better than of late.

There is a downgrade for Daleroad Story and that could make all the difference to her chances. She has won on the last two occasions that she has raced in this D3 grade, and should be able to come on plenty for her return to action from three months off last time out at a higher level. She clocked 16.15 in a trial ahead of that and anything close to that would make her very hard to beat.

A first try over the shorter four-bend trip could be perfect for Raparee Yulia who has been running well over 500m without quite fully staying the trip. That said, she was a multiple A3 winner so she reached a fair level. She stepped up massively for her first trial over this distance on her second where her early pace was much more like her usual level. A slick break here can see her around in front and now back 40m in distance, she can maintain the gallop.
