*** Essjay Sonja - 7.33 Towcester

** Fabulous Miley - 6.59 Towcester

* Swift Delicious - 6.08 Towcester

There is a top S1 event this evening at Towcester where Essay Sonja could be hard to beat. She produced a smart 43.40 on her most recent run over the 712m distance, showing gradual improvement in her times of late. A smart sort over 500m here as well, she will have a decent type to face in Fabulous Rakiya who makes her six-bend debut, but the level set by the selection is a strong one.

A newcomer for Laurence Tuffin could be the way to go in the 6.59 in the shape of Fabulous Miley. The red jacket is unfamiliar for her as she has only just graded in but a repeat of her 3.94 split in her most recent trial should see her turn front rank. It does not look the toughest starting place for her with the potential for improvement to come against an exposed bunch of rivals.

The opening contest is an A8 race where five of the six met one another last week. Swift Delicious is not a regular winner by any means but she led those five home and the other one that has been added is a short runner which will suit the come from behind style perfectly. She can take advantage of the lazy grading and get her head back in front.
