Joe's Friday Night Tips

***8.19 Romford - Faradays Megan (3pts) 11/4
**8.56 Sunderland - Lion Heart (2pts) 2/1
*9.14 Sunderland - Newinn Cloud (1pt) 8/1

Friday evening sees the final of the £12,500 to the winner Arena Racing Company Grand Prix at Sunderland where New Destiny is going to traps at 9.14pm as potentially the shortest priced favourite in the competitions history with prices between 2/7 and 1/5 available with the shortest in history being Pinpoint Boom back in 2016 at a price of 2/5.

She has a tricky draw to overcome from trap two with Killieford Goram in one pacey to the bend and moving off so New Destiny will have to be mindful of the pace inside her. Questions marks can be asked when New Destiny is in behind and not in front and with that I am going to be with Mark Wallis’s other runner Newinn Cloud in trap six who quietly goes about his business.

He was seven and a half lengths behind New Destiny in the semi final but she led and made all. That might not be the case this evening so at around 7/1 and 8/1 he looks the value play in the race if New Destiny doesn’t get things her own way.

There are two other finals on the card including a dual Distance final over 450m at 8.56pm with the heats over 261m last week. Lion Heart (NB) was behind Tease Me in the heats however I expect him to get the better of Singalong Rex over a more suited trip for Carl Jacksons charge.

At 9.32pm Tom Heilbron’s superstar Links Maverick can dominate from start to finish to back up last week’s heat success by landing the Arena Racing Company 450 Final.

At Romford three heats of the Rosebowl take place over 575m. In heat one Faradays Megan (NAP) can make the most of dropping back in trip at 8.19pm. Untold Paanga can pick up his fifth victory over Romfords 575m trip in heat two at 8.36pm and the ultra competitive heat three at 8.54pm can go the way of Glenhead Tom dropping back from 664m at Central Park to a more suitable six bend trip.

There is also a Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden Stayers Final over 575m that can be won by Dower Duchess in trap two as long as she doesn’t come together with Chelms Skint on her inside.
