Greyhound News Report: Joe's Saturday Tips & Oxford Trial Stakes
Plenty of open race action taking place on Saturday as Oxford looks ahead to the BetGoodwin Pall Mall with five trial stakes on offer this evening as well as finals over four and six bends.
This greyhound racing UK preview focuses on the key runners and form across tonight’s stacked Oxford card.
Trial Stakes One – 7.14pm
Gingers Prince returns after injury. He clocked 26.34 in a recent trial and his 3.93 sectional sets him apart. A level break sees him lead and win.
Trial Stakes Two – 7.31pm
A competitive affair featuring Kent Silver Salver finalist King Jackson and speedy types like Tullymurry Kane. Joe tips Tullymurry Kane to lead and stay the trip. He's shown solid form at Yarmouth and a sharp 3.85 sectional.
Trial Stakes Three – 7.51pm
Droopys Dialogue (T4) drops in class and has been racing top-class rivals recently. His trial over course and distance (26.82) puts him in a strong spot.
Trial Stakes Four – 8.09pm
Joe likes Easy Molly (T6), a strong finisher who can avoid early trouble and run past the field late if positioned well. A race to watch.
Trial Stakes Five – 8.26pm
Crystal Turtle (T4) can break under 4.00 and may benefit from having three railers inside. If in front early, he’s a danger to all.
BetGoodwin Oxford Maiden Trophy Final – 8.43pm
The BetGoodwin Oxford Maiden Trophy final over 450m can go to Kevin Hutton’s Dreaming Francis in trap two. She can use the draw to her advantage by holding Droopys Doll in trap three to the bend where she can go round in front. From there she is a strong runner over this trip so would not be for catching if leading at any stage.
BetGoodwin Oxford Stayers Trophy Final – 9.01pm
Alright Gordy (T6) is the one to beat after a dominant heat win. He was in devastating fashion in the heats coming from off the pace to win by seven lengths in 39.28 so holds a significant advantage over his rivals including the other heat winner Emmy bell Boy who was a winner in 39.64. If Alright Gordy avoids the trouble spots and keeps himself to himself out wide, he is too strong for his rivals and can rack up another Oxford victory.
If you follow Joe’s greyhound tips for today, Oxford could be the meeting that delivers the weekend's most rewarding results.
