Tips from three different tracks on Thursday

***7.16 Hove - Roadsea Gun (3pts) 11/4
**7.44 Newcastle - Ballymac Neems (2pts) 11/4
*7.06 Monmore - Beatties Lyra (2pts) 6/4

7.16pm Hove – Roadsea Gun (T4) [A2] – Nap of the Night

The nap of the evening is Roadsea Gun, running in the A2 at Hove for Patrick Browne. A remarkably consistent type, Roadsea Gun finished ahead of tonight’s main danger Antigua Forky when placing third last week — after leading up to the run-in.

This time, with less early pace in the contest, the setup favours him. If he breaks well from the middle draw, he should be able to assert into the bend and hold off a late challenge from Antigua Forky, who’s well drawn in trap six with a vacant inside.

Greyhound racing UK fans will know Roadsea Gun is often reliable when he pings the lids — and he looks ready to deliver another strong run tonight.

7.44pm Newcastle – Ballymac Neems (T1) [A2]

Next best on the greyhound tips list is Ballymac Neems, running in the A2 at Newcastle. She produced a powerful late run last Thursday in the Bitches Final over this course and distance, finishing just 1½ lengths behind the impressive Coppice Gracie.

Tonight, drawn in trap one, Ballymac Neems should be in the perfect spot to stalk the early-paced Racenight Jane and unleash her finishing kick down the home straight.

This daughter of Ballymac Anton is long overdue another win — her last came in a dead heat in A1 company back in early June — and tonight could be her night to return to winning ways.

7.06pm Monmore – Beatties Lyra (T1) [D1 – 264m]

We close the night’s greyhound betting tips with Beatties Lyra, running in a four-dog D1 contest at Monmore. Kim Billingham-Hine’s young pup was narrowly behind Longacres Noah last time out — beaten only a neck — but missed the break slightly that day.

If Beatties Lyra can trap sharper from the red jacket tonight, she can seize the early advantage around the opening bends and fend off her rivals down the short 264m trip.

Trap two runner Tommys Target is returning from a layoff, so Beatties Lyra looks well-positioned to grab a second win in four races.
