Five open races at Swindon this evening including a stayers race, sprint, bitches and two standard races.
The first open is the Blunsdon Ladies at 7.16pm. Similar to last week it looks a match between Southfield Poppy and Newinn Bliss. I am going to be with the same result as last week with Southfield Poppy getting the better of Newinn Bliss. She done it well from trap four last week so as long as she can break as well from the inside draw in one, she can lead coming out the second bend and go onto make it a four timer with Newinn Bliss chasing her home in second again.
Next up is the Blunsdon Sprint at 7.33pm where Dashing Dude in trap three is fully expected to do the business again and make it a hat-trick of victories. He is the best sprinter at the track and can add another victory to an ultra impressive tally by making it 24 from 28 swindon starts.
The Blunsdon Standard Division B is next at 7.49pm. Trap four Robbies Galaxy should be able to go back to back following his victory over C&D seven days ago. He is a strong running sort who brings with him a solid Irish CV including behind the likes of Bombay Pat in the Irish Derby so any kind of clear run for Robbies Galaxy should seen him home in front.
The Blunsdon Standard Division A follows at 8.07pm where Cul Na Braithre can drop down in trip and return to winning ways. He is a strong runner who won well over the 660m trip at Perry Barr before getting beat at Oxford over the 650m trip behind Highview Jasman. He needs to reverse the form with Eze from a month ago but Southfield Duke in trap two should give him plenty of room to turn in a good position and if turning close enough behind Eze, he can out run him late on to get back on the scoresheet.
The fifth and final open of the night is the Blunsdon Stayers over 682m at 8.24pm. trap six Savanabetgoodwin was beat over four bends last week by Eze but will relish the step up in trip again and is well drawn in six with five railers inside him. He can keep himself to himself out wide and take advantage of any crowding inside to go well at a price
