Tuesday Selections

***8.59 Swindon - Ballycowen Lil (3pts) 9/4

 **7.49 Swindon - Invergarry (2pts) 10/11

 *7.33 Swindon - Cul Na Braithre (1pt) 9/2

There are two opens at Swindon this evening with a 476m standard and a 682m staying race.  The first open race of the two is the Blunsdon Standard over 476m at 7.33pm. Eze returned to somewhat near his best last week but he is going to have to repeat that, if not go better, to win again and, with that in mind being in a tougher race, I am going to be with Cul Na Braithre (Third Best Bet) in trap one. There is plenty of early pace in the race including Newinn Sharky, Southfield Duke and Eze, so something has to give and as long as Cul Na Braithre can hold Baggios Intent and Ballymac Loca, he can get first run at the early pacers and pick up the pieces late on.

The Blunsdon Stayers over 682m is at 7.49pm with two newcomers to six bends looking to battle it out. Trap four Eagles Respect, who won impressively on six-bend debut last week, lines up against Invergarry, who goes from trap five and is two from two over C&D. However, they also line-up against three seasoned professionals in Baggios Dilemma, Ballymac Mags and Baggios Emoski. I am going to be with trap five Invergarry (Next Best), who looks set to get the run of the race out wide with four railers inside him. Eagles Respect is not guaranteed to clear the inside trio, whereas Invergarry can look after himself out wide to put enough of a gap between him and the field heading into the fifth bend and he can hold on from the likes of Ballymac Mags.

Our other selections on the card is Ballycowen Lil (NAP) in the S1 over 682m at 8.59pm. She has found herself in with the likes of Invergarry, Droopys Suprstar and Ballymac Mags in recent weeks over C&D, so she takes a big drop in class this evening and she can use the inside draw to her advantage to pick up a well deserved victory.
