The 480m final at Nottingham tonight can see another step forward in the progression of Jackierua. Comfortably the quickest of the qualifiers a week ago to make it a perfect 3/3 since arriving in England, he ha taken a step forward with each of those starts but wouldn't need to do anything more here to get his head in front again.
It is a competitive race that No Better Feelin finds himself in this evening but he is a hard dog to oppose over 500m no matter who is in the race in opposition. He has Zappa and Romeo Ability to take on, that pair fighting out a contest last week which was won by the former. Both will find it hard to hold the selection if he comes away, however.
Puntos Opinion was a semi-finalist in the Betway Juvenile Classic at Towcester, producing a decent clocking in a trial at this track subsequently over this 305m distance. It is interesting that he runs in a sprint, perhaps to try and grab a win with him in a maiden before stepping back up in trip with the Puppy Classic on the horizon. He would certainly appear to have the natural speed to do so in this sort of race.
