The opening round of the Arena Racing Company Silver Salver is at Central Park this evening so it is off to the Kent circuit where we go for our three selections tonight.
Saturday's Tips
*** Princess Matilda - 9.10 Central Park
** Lincoln Impact - 7.50 Central Park
* Thurlesbeg Plato - 6.50 Central Park
It's been seven weeks since Princess Matilda was last seen in race action but she can come back with a win at one of her favourite tracks this evening. She rattled off a hat-trick of wins over this 664m distance earlier on in the year, including one that saw her set a new track record at the time.
There will not be many notebooks that Lincoln Impact didn't go in last Saturday night after his Central Park win for Michelle Brown. He did absolutely everything wrong but still ended up being strong enough to pull a win out the fire. If he can come away in better fashion tonight, he has a sub 29-second run in him which should be more than enough at this level.
The heats of the Silver Salver have plenty of short priced favourites in them. Paul Donovan's Thurlesbeg Plato had suffered a few reverses in recent weeks but he is still a very strong local sprinter and is going to be tough to beat in his heat if he has his trapping boots on this evening.
