*** King Memphis - 4.09 Towcester
** Kranky Drake - 4.47 Towcester
* Jet Stream Jane - 3.51 Towcester
The red jacket could be a big plus for King Memphis who has produced some of his top runs from the innermost draw in the past. He has not had all that many opportunities from this slot in recent times but he has a perfect berth from where he should lead up his fellow inner runners. From there, he is going to be a very hard dog to hold.
Kranky Drake tends to have to do things the hard way but the level of form that he has been showing of late sets a very strong standard in this field. A semi-finalist in the recent Ladbrokes Winter Derby, he ran well last week on his return to Towcester when chasing home The Other Chief and Slick Sentinel. There isn't anything of that class in here.
A stayers contest last week saw Jet Stream Jane quickly away and gone, and although she was chased hard by Frankton Ivy, she was never going to get picked up. This looks another good opportunity for her to get to the front early and turn the screw on her rivals once more.
