*** So Its Strate - 3.07 Sheffield
** Poly Styrene - 5.24 Towcester
* Droopys Berries - 3.32 Towcester
He is going to be short but So Its Strate should make a winning debut over six bends at Sheffield this afternoon. He was third in his semi-final of the Time 3 Steps to Victory where he didn't lose an inch on the eventual competition winner Fortanach Col on the way to the pickup. It was a powerful finish from him last week to win over 500m, and he can prove better still now stepped up in trip.
There has not been an awful lot of luck of late for Poly Styrene, neither in terms of draws nor in running. She has another tough enough draw to overcome this afternoon, but with the greatest respect to her opponents, they are not in the same class as the ones that she has been taking on of late which can allow her to pick up her first win since April.
Droopys Berries is another who is going to have to ride his luck a little around the opening two bends from his draw in four, especially with a couple with decent early pace up his inside, but he has the middle gears and the stamina to come over the top of them up the straight to grab the win late on.
