Thursday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 22 January 2026
There is plenty of open class racing to get involved in on Thursday evening with action at Hove, Monmore and Newcastle. We have selections for all three track tonight.

*** Ballymac Buddy - 6.52 Newcastle
** Wastehouse Mix - 8.59 Hove
* The Other Winx - 8.13 Monmore
There are a couple of trial stakes for the Arena Racing Company Northern Puppy Derby at Newcastle this evening where Ballymac Buddy can lay down a marker in the first of them for Ted Soppitt. He has shown all sorts of pace in his two career starts to this point, winning both of them. He shapes like a proper dog in the making and he can continue the unbeaten start to his career tonight.
This will be the first time that Wastehouse Mix has been tested in an open since joining the Belinda Green kennel but he looks well up to the task on his recent graded efforts. He has clocked a couple of smart times when winning an A2 and an A1 recently and a repeat of those mid 29.30s are going to see him take some stopping here with a vacant trap inside him to help him on his way.
There has been a good step forward from The Other Winx since she moved up to six bends, winning in a decent time at Romford three starts back and addling to that with a success at Central Park last time out. There should be more to come from her in time, and this looks to be a beautiful draw for her to work from with five runners inside who all want to be close to the fence.
