*** Golden Hare - 7.22 Yarmouth
** Who Dares Wins - 8.31 Yarmouth
* Montana Tiger - 6.48 Yarmouth
Golden Hare looks to be a very nice youngster in the making for Kevin Cobbold, winning an A6 on his race debut before finishing second in this grade on his only other start. The winner that day was Ballycowen Alfie who had been in A1 here as recently as May, so he was unlucky to bump into a rival of that calibre in an A5. There's loads more improvement to come from him, and he can see off another rapid class dropper in Oh So Lucky.
There were plenty of battles between Who Dares Wins and Kereight Fraud earlier on in the year in this A1 grade. The latter generally got the better of things but the near veteran had to drop into A4 to get her head back in front, gaining a triple upgrade for her troubles. By comparison, the selection returned from three and a half months off in the opening round of the East Anglian Derby when four and a half lengths behind favourite for the decider, Droopys Buck. That suggests he can gain his revenge now.
Another A1 at 6.48 and it is a corker with two of the East Anglian Derby finalists clashing as well as some other very smart open race types. Montana Tiger didn't get any luck in the decider when being the re-opposing Strathrannoch, but he had got the better of that one in the semis which the selection won. A vacant trap outside him and a quick starting middle in three should give him the room he needs to halfway to get his head in front again.
