Wednesday Tips

*** Raha Gem - 9.46 Romford 6/5

** Rolo Sabbath - 7.22 Yarmouth 11/10

* Mikeys Excuses - 7.27 Romford 12/1

Just four runners in the S2 contest which closes out the Romford card this evening. Raha Gem has a recent decision over all three of her rivals tonight, so Gemma Evans's railer is the one that they all have to beat. This is the first time in her career that she has been downgraded into an S2, her last 14 races coming in top grade over four and six bends here as well as in an open. Hopefully, this slight ease in level can see her back to winning ways.

There is a decent A1 contest at Yarmouth this evening with plenty of early pace through the middle where Rolo Sabbath and Murrow Krakatoa will go head to head. The latter is probably the stronger of the pair but she does not always hit the lids when she comes back to Yarmouth after running elsewhere, and she was in action at Doncaster last time out. The selection is the more consistent trapper and forced Wrighty to pull out all the stops to pick him up on Saturday afternoon, form which reads very well at this level.

One of the more interesting runners on the card this evening is Mikeys Excuses. He has seen just three races of action at the track so far, winning an A4 well on his debut in June before an A3 defeat in July. He missed more than three months before an A4 defeat on his return, sent off at 14/1, so he was clearly expected to come on for the run. The racing manager has given him a helping hand with a downgrade into an A5 here, with a pair of runners on his inside which he should lead up. Could be a touch overpriced.
